To find out if you’re hardlocked, first enter a SIM card that uses a different network to the one you are locked to and then make sure your Xperia U is switched on.

Next, click onto the emergency calls screen and then *#*#7378423#*#*. (alternatively you could press the following- Menu Back Back Menu Back Menu Menu Back.)

A message should now appear that looks like the following:
- Network 10
- Network Subset 10
- Service Provider 10
- Corporate 10
- Sim 0

If you have a number ‘0’ next to network, this means you have run out of unlock attempts and cannot get unlocked through us! Any other number simply defines how many unlock attempts you do have left.

Now for the fun part!

First, send us your Xperia U’s IMEI number, it’s country, it’s network, and an active email address so we can send you an unlock code!

After that, have a check at the pricing and the availability as well. Then proceed to payment and make an order.

Once you’ve made an order, you’ll have to wait a while for us to get you an unlock code, but once you have your unlock code, enter the same SIM card you did beforehand and then wait for a screen to display.
