How to unlock your phone

Did you know that if you purchase your smartphone on Tesco UK you will be stuck to use this network? You won’t even be able to use O2, which is the network that Tesco is based on. If you are in this situation but you want to use your S5 Neo on all networks, you will need to get it unlocked. Follow the guide below!

To unlock your S5 Neo we will first need some information about it. The information we will need is explained below.

- IMEI number -  This can be found by dialing *#06# on your phone. You can also find it in “about device” in the settings menu
- The country your device is from
- The name of your device
- An email address that we can send the unlock code to

DO NOT enter the wrong IMEI number into the form. A wrong IMEI number will result in a wrong unlock code designed for another smartphone and we cannot offer a refund in this case.

After you have received your unlock code you will be able to unlock it! To unlock it, all you need to do is turn off your S5 Neo and then insert a SIM card that is not on Tesco, O2 or giffgaff. Once the SIM card has been insert, switch the S5 Neo back on.

Once on, a prompt will appear on the screen that asks for an unlock code. Enter the unlock code we have sent you and your smartphone will now be unlocked!
