Always Dropping Your Phone? HTC One is Expensive to Repair!

HTC One Handset - Repair Costs
With smartphones being a tactile part of our lives, and something that is on our person more often than not, at times we can’t help but drop our phones.

Luckily smartphones are getting tougher, but if you happen to drop it at a large enough height, or onto a hard surface, you’re probably going to go home with a broken handset.

iFixit has recently done their reparability test on the HTC One and with a score of 1 out of 10, it doesn’t look good at all.

Trying to open up the HTC One is going to severely damage the phone’s case, and once you’re in, there’s plenty of copper shielding, difficult parts to remove, and other inconveniences to stop you from fixing a cracked screen by yourself.

Trying to deal with the copper shielding is difficult, and iFixit said it "is a pain to deal with during reassembly—kind of like trying to straighten out aluminum foil once it's been crinkled." It is useful in the phone, but it gets in the way of reassembly.

Of course you can get it repaired by a professional, but because of the difficulty, the phone may cost quite a lot to repair.
