Hasty New Gadget Release

The next peak of the market in what concerns HTC smart phones has already been announced to be the HTC M7, with a release on the market planned in the first trimester of 2013, although the company presently has two hot devices fresh on the market, the HTC Droid DNA and the HTC DLX, the latter soon having  its international market release.

It seems that the target number of HTC M7s to be manufactured at the beginning of 2013 will be between 4 and 5 million devices.

Of course that the mystery regarding the specifications of the new M7 is planned to be kept safe, but in spite of that, a few leaks of information can always be found with a little bit of ambition, so there are some things that we know about the smart phone. The new smart phone will blow your mind off with a display of 5 inches and HD resolution, accompanied by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (APQ8064) quad-core processor, a unibody shell made of aluminum and a 13 megapixel camera to complete the megalomaniac package.

Marketing Strategy

As the competition in the world of the smart phones is always burning, it seems that HTC has rethought its launching strategy for the new M7, announcing a market release in the first months of 2013, before the new Samsung Galaxy S4 will be released. What makes it obvious that HTC changed their strategy is their previous custom of revealing their new gadgets at the end of February, as a part of the Mobile World Congress, and having them on the market by the beginning of April. It might be possible that an early market release will give a boost to HTC in favor of Samsung, thus giving them a new year beginning with increased sales.

But who knows if this will work for long? Of course that it depends whether the HTC M7 will satisfy the customers with its functions more than the Galaxy or other upcoming smart phones will. We can only wait to see what happens. Which of them would you place your bet on?
