Samsung Galaxy A8 is the Slimmest Smartphone Ever
For a while, smartphone manufacturers tried their hardest to make the most lightweight, slimmest smartphones possible. This isn’t at the forefront of competition in the mobile industry today, but there are occasionally new releases that are super slim or super light weight.
Take the brand new Samsung Galaxy A8 for example - this new smartphone is currently only available in China and it may just be the slimmest smartphone ever. The A8 has a 5.7 inch display and a 0.23 inch thickness. The bezels on the device are also incredibly small. The A8 also weighs in at just 0.3 pounds.
Unfortunately the lightweight and slim build do have some consequences - the Samsung Galaxy A8 isn’t the most powerful smartphone on the market. In fact, the A8 has a Snapdragon 615 SoC, which is powered by a 8 core processor, and 2GB of RAM. This is still pretty decent, but it isn’t as great as the Galaxy S6.
The Galaxy A8 also comes with a 16MP primary camera and a 5MP front facing camera. Surprisingly the A8 comes with a hefty 3,050mAh battery. So far, international release date and pricing is unknown but the device can be picked up for 3,499 Yuan, or roughly $560. You can unlock your samsung galaxy A8 just follow the instructions here!
We’ll have to wait and see whether Samsung brings the Galaxy A8 to other regions - so far it’s only available for pre-order in China.
