Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Available at Samsung Experience Store in London
Although the Galaxy Note 8.0 was first announced back at MWC earlier in the year, it has been a while since we've heard from the tablet since. However, Samsung has just announced that the Galaxy Note 8.0, which comes with the S Pen, is now available for purchase at a specific Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City in London.
Samsung did say other locations will follow soon, but it seems pinpointing at this specific location is Samsung's way of getting attention to their new Samsung Experience Stores.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 16GB with just WiFi is available for £339 at the Samsung Experience Store, which translates to roughly $520. Samsung is also including some free gear for purchasing the tablet after April 15th for ‘a limited time.
These items include a £20 Samsung Learning Hub voucher, 2 free months of The Times, worth £32, Samsung Music Hub for 1 month, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, AVG anti-Virus Pro, and Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 apps, as well as 50GB of Dropbox online storage space for 2 years, totaling a whole £60 worth of freebies.
It's clear that Samsung are touting their new Samsung Experience Store, and are working hard to create an experience past just their successful Android handsets.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also directly contends with the smaller iPad mini and the Nexus 7, which have 7.9 inch and 7 inch screens respectively. Trying to guess whether the Note 8.0 will be more successful than the other two small tablets is a fools' game right now, but with the Galaxy line's success pushing Samsung ahead, the Note 8.0 may sell spectacularly well.
