The Phablet Fight - Note 5 vs iPhone 6S Plus vs LG V10
Let’s put the biggest, most powerful smartphones from three of the leading manufacturers in 2015 and throw them all in an arena and watch what happens. Sparks will fly, screens will be cracked and hopefully a clear cut winner will emerge from all of the chaos. This is the phablet fight. This is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 vs the Apple iPhone 6S vs the LG V10.
Build Design
For our first section we’ll be comparing the build designs for each of the devices. Honestly all three devices look absolutely gorgeous so we’ll have to battle it out by comparing the top redeeming qualities of the three smartphones.
LG V10 - What we love about the LG V10 build design is the button placement. With buttons on the back of the device, accessing the LG V10, adjusting volume and using the camera shutter buttons is incredibly easy. Having large displays can make one handed use a bit unwieldy but LG’s solution is wonderful. If you want to unlock your LG V10 just click here!
The LG V10 is also the only smartphone in this list with a removable cover. Being able to quickly swap out for another battery or to insert a microSD card can be a useful addition, especially considering the other two smartphones do not support microSD cards.
iPhone 6S Plus - The iPhone design has become sleeker over the last couple of years and it fits into your hand perfectly. Apple really needed to rethink their smartphone game and along with the huge display size increase in the iPhone 6S Plus, the design has never been thinner, lighter or slimmer. Do you have iphone 6S plus and want to unlock? Just visit here!
Unlike the original iPhone 6 Plus, the 6S Plus feels a lot sturdier and despite it’s wafer-thin body size, the 6S Plus feels sturdy enough to get through the day. Admittedly the iPhone 6S feels weaker than the two Android giants in this list but if you’re all about looks, you’ll not be disappointed.
Galaxy Note 5 - The Galaxy Note 5 has a strikingly similar design to the Apple iPhone 6S Plus - the rectangular bar-phone like design has been adopted for the Note 5, although just like Apple, Samsung has worked to make the device thinner and easier to hold. Do you have Samsung Galaxy Note 5? And do you want to unlock it? If yes then just click here!
We’d say the key differences between the Note 5 is the sturdier feel and the slightly blockier edges. We love the Note 5 design but it’s easily outperformed by the other two.

Display
Onto the next section! The display sizes on the three phablets is similar, but the resolution and display quality varies greatly.
LG V10 - Both of the Android phablets have a large 5.7 1440 x 2560 inch display, although the LG V10 uses IPS LCD as opposed to the SUPER AMOLED on the Galaxy Note 5. The LG V10 also has an interesting second display strip placed above the main screen. This small strip serves as an information wheel and it can also be used for quick access to applications. It’s a bit gimmicky but it does add a bit of extra functionality.
iPhone 6S Plus - The iPhone 6S Plus has a smaller 5.5 inch display and it’s resolution is just 1080 x 1920. Standard HD is still a great resolution for a smartphone but the Android options just look a lot cleaner.
Galaxy Note 5 - It’s a really hard choice because whilst both the Android devices have the same resolution and display size, the Galaxy Note 5 uses SUPER AMOLED which is more color accurate and brighter. The trouble is that LG has included the extra display strip on the LG V10, so the winner for this category is very closely followed by second place.

Hardware Performance
Let’s talk about hardware.
LG V10 - With the Snapdragon 808, the LG V10 is looking to be the weakest option on this roster. The Snapdragon 808 is still a very capable chipset and it can deal with anything Android has to throw at it. However, as far as benchmarks are concerned, the LG V10 is lagging behind the other two.
iPhone 6S Plus - The iPhone 6S Plus has dual core, the Note 5 has octa core, the iPhone 6S Plus has 2GB of RAM, the Note 5 has 4GB of RAM. The winner must be Note 5. Well, not really, despite things favoring the Note 5 on paper, the A9 processor in the iPhone 6S Plus is incredible and benchmarks show the the iPhone 6S Plus is actually the top performer here.
Galaxy Note 5 - The Galaxy Note 5 uses Samsung’s home built Exynos 7420 chipset and has 4GB of RAM. The raw performance of the Note 5 is absolutely insane and Samsung has managed to create the top Android SoC on the market in 2015. Unfortunately benchmarks leave the Note 5 slightly behind the iPhone 6S Plus, although it’s an incredibly close battle.

Software
This is an interesting one and there are so many varying factors to take into consideration. We’ll be trying to compact everything into a bite size reading chunk.
LG V10 - Perhaps the weakest contender on the list, the LG V10 has some sleek software but it’s not as well versed as the Galaxy Note 5. With that being said, LG has been working with big phones for a while and a lot of LG’s apps, such as QuickMemo and LG Dual Window have been designed for making the use of a big display easier. LG’s software comes quite a far while behind the Galaxy Note 5, but it remains a better choice than the iPhone 6S Plus.
iPhone 6S Plus - If we’re talking about devices with smaller displays, the iPhone 6S may be able to take the crown from the Galaxy S6 but unfortunately iOS just doesn’t have enough phablet-ready features for the iPhone 6S Plus and everything just feels like it’s been stretched out. Reachability is a useful feature on the iPhone 6S Plus but it’s just not enough. Apple has a lot of work to do to be a good phablet contender.
Galaxy Note 5 - Samsung has been doing the phablet game for a while. Whatever your opinions on TouchWiz, the custom changes made for the Note lineup are always spectacular. Samsung has added the ability to run multiple apps, float apps on the screen above others and shrink the display size temporarily for quick convenient one handed control. Add all of the convenience features of the Note 5 with the S Pen suite and the Note 5 is clearly the winner of this category.

Summary
The only way to pick out a winner is to refer to our results in each category. Three points will be rewarded for first place, two points for second place and one point for third place.
In first place, the LG V10 comes out with 9 points. It may not have the best software features and the best hardware but it easily performs well and it’s software is perfect for the phablet world. With the added hardware components such as the back buttons, the display strip and removable rugged back cover the LG V10 really is the ultimate phablet choice for 2015.
The Note 5 came in second place with 8 points and we must say it was a very close fight between the LG V10 and the Note 5. With all of the great software features of the Note 5, it may even be a better choice for some, despite the lack of functional hardware elements.
The iPhone 6S Plus came away with 7 points, landing it in third place. Once again, it was a close fight and the iPhone 6S Plus will still be a good choice for anybody who prefers Apple over Android.
