By admin | Published March 10th, 2016

We’re going hands on to give the brand new Galaxy S7 an in-depth review. If you want to know anything about the new Samsung flagship, this is the place to be. We’ve separated aspects of this smartphone into different sections to make for easier reading.

Build design

First up let’s talk about the build design of the Samsung Galaxy S7. At this point it should be no surprise that Samsung’s flagships are beautifully crafted with an insane attention to detail. The Galaxy S7 has been designed to feel sleek, streamlined and exceptionally comfortable in the hand.

However, despite the focus on comfort, Samsung hasn’t neglected the actual appearance of the device. It would be hard to argue that the Galaxy S7 isn’t the best looking Android smartphone of 2016, well, unless you take the Galaxy S7 into consideration of course. Display

The Samsung Galaxy S7 features a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The 2K resolution is certainly a great sight to behold but it’s practically the par for flagship smartphones in 2016 so there’s nothing special there. However, the Samsung’s super AMOLED technology is absolutely awesome for bright colors and accurate color reproduction.

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 also has an always on display feature that will partially light up a certain area of the screen to showcase notification information. The always on display can be turned off, but when it is on it can make viewing notifications much easier and it doesn’t sap power as quickly as you’d expect.

Software

Obviously the software section is one of the most important ones for the Samsung Galaxy S7. Whilst you won’t be able to make use of all of the new Edge features on the standard Galaxy S7, there are still plenty of TouchWiz utilities available. Do you have smartphone and need unlock code? The new TouchWiz on the Galaxy S7 feels streamlined and easy to navigate, but unlike the new LG UX, none of the UX features have been thrown out. All of the great functionality is still available on the S7 and we’re super happy about this.

Hardware

The Samsung Galaxy S7 has some very spectacular hardware. Firstly, the display comes in at 5.1 inches at a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The device also has a. On the inside the Galaxy S7 utilizes the Snapdragon 820 in some regions whilst in other areas of the world the new Exynos octa chip is being used.

Both chipsets offer high end performance and useful battery saving technology to keep battery life longer. Each year we see faster performance from both the CPU and the GPU so the increased performance in the Galaxy S7 this year isn’t surprising at the least but it’s still nice to see.

The Galaxy S7 also has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for external storage. Thanks to Android Marshmallow you are now able to use the microSD card storage as additional internal memory.

That’s about it for the Samsung Galaxy S7! What do you like about the device so far?
